Renowned Chef Joey Macadangdang’s latest venture is Joey’s Kitchen which officially opened for business March 28. Diners were quick to acclaim the casual restaurant’s outstanding combination of the great location while offering amazing flavors at good prices. Many of the Westin timeshare owners and Marriott timeshare owners will remember Joey was the longtime chef at Roy’s and Pineapple Grill. Joey commented that it has always been his dream to offer people a “Dap-Ayan” – a place to come eat, have fun, share and learn. His Hawaii inspired Filipino-Asian cuisine features a menu of savory dishes including, stir fry shrimp, chicken and pork and other beef and pork specialities. You’ll find Joey’s Kitchen at the Whalers Village Food Court on the lower level at the former Ruby’s Dinette location.
For those who own a Westin timeshare or Marriott timeshare, the Grown on Maui Farmers Market should be a great attraction for fresh local produce. The Grown on Maui Farmers market returns to the center on Saturday, June 6 as part of the first annual Maui Jim OceanFest. The oceanfront location near Hula Grill and Maui Fish & Pasta will give shoppers the opportunity to meet the people responsible for growing the local fare and taking home such fresh delights as dragonfruit, bok choy, Waipoli lettuce and Kula onions just to name a few! On Saturday, September 5, Maui timeshare owners will have the opportunity to visit the Grown on Maui Farmers Market again as it will be part of the fun Hawaii Food and Wine Festival Kaanapali.
