Hyatt Vacation Club members have access to 18 Hyatt-owned resorts and to 2,500 resorts through the timeshare exchange service, Interval International. Members of Hyatt Vacation Club are automatically enrolled in Interval International. The membership fees are waived and renew automatically for Hyatt Vacation Club members.
For many years now, Hyatt has also been running a successful vacation club that offers members luxury vacations at their lifestyle resorts.
Hyatt Residence Club offers a Fixed Week and a Float Point Usage system.
Fixed Weeks Explanation:
Many Hyatt timeshare resale buyers purchase a timeshare at one of the Hyatt’s luxury timeshare resorts which can then be converted into points for the purposes of exchange and accumulation. The point value of a Hyatt timeshare resale depends on the type of unit, time of week and season. Hyatt Vacation Club members can split up points and use them as they see fit.
Members are also entitled to borrow points from the next calendar year in order to stay in larger rooms or extend their vacations.
Unused points expire after 6 months so be sure to redeem your points or convert them for use with Hyatt Vacation Club’s affiliate, Interval International.
Hyatt Residence Club timeshares are located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Nevada, Puerto Rico and Texas and offer luxurious beach, mountain and desert accommodations.

Fixed Week information and explanations:
The resort where a fixed week Hyatt timeshare is purchased is referred to as the Home Resort Preference Period, or HRPP, which begins 12 months prior to the deeded week and ends 6 months – 182 days – prior to the deeded week.
The owner of a Hyatt fixed week has the following options:
- Reserve the entire fixed week (or any portion). If only a portion of the ownership is used – the remaining portion will automatically be converted to points and the inventory becomes available for Hyatt Club use.
- The owner can convert to points in order to exchange with Interval International using all (or a portion) of their points, they can apply all points to the Gold Passport Exchange Program (every year or every other year depending on the level of ownership), reserve any available Hyatt Residence Club inventory at any Hyatt Residence Club destination and/or commit all or a portion of their points to the Extended External Exchange Program for the sole purpose of exchange through Interval International.
At the end of six month HRPP period (on the day after the expiration of the HRPP), the owner of fixed weeks enters the Club Use Period (CUP) at 182 days prior to the deeded week of ownership. At this time the owner has the following options:
- The owner can reserve any available Hyatt Residence Club inventory at any Hyatt Residence Club destination.
- The owner can exchange with Interval International using all or a portion of their points. If vacation plans are uncertain, the owner may commit all or any portion of their point balance to the Extended External Exchange Program (EEEP)–no later than 4 months prior to the end of the Club Use Period.
The day after the expiration of the Club Use Period begins the Limited Club Use Period (LCUP) and allows the owner to reserve any Hyatt Residence Club inventory at any Hyatt Residence Club destination. The owner may exchange with Interval International using all (or a portion) of their points.
If vacation plans are uncertain, they can commit all or any portion of the point balance to the Extended External Exchange Program (EEEP) no later than 4 months prior to the end of their Club Use Period and they can reserve and occupy any Hyatt Regency Club inventory at any Hyatt Resident Club destination available within 60 days of the date of the reservation. Any and all unused points will expire at the end of the Limited Club Use Period.
