Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort’s popular restaurant, Pulehu, an Italian Grill has announced a new dessert menu beginning Thursday, August 6, 2015 which will feature a fresh take on classic desserts.
The recently appointed chef de cuisine, Alvin Savella announced in a press release that, “Pulehu is known for offering classic Italian fare with a twist”. He went on to say, “I wanted to bring this concept to our dessert menu by re-imagining some traditional Italian dishes and adding a taste of local flavor.”
The new dessert menu features three specialties and three very popular favorites – sorbet, gelato and affogato (for those who may not know, affogato is a coffee-based beverage. It usually takes the form of a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream topped with a shot of hot espresso).
The three new specialties include budino, textures of tiramisu and zeppole:
- The budino is a rich and creamy like custard dessert which includes vanilla mousse with salted caramel and Oreo cookie crumble and is sure to become a favorite of every Westin timeshare owner at this resort!
- Chef Savella has taken textures of tiramisu and features hazelnut chocolate cake, lady fingers, hazelnut crumble and mascarpone coffee cream.
- The zeppole is an Italian pastry of sugar fried dough served with Zia Maria marshmallow gelato and macerated Kula strawberries.
Westin timeshare owners and guests at Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort are invited to experience the new dessert menu at Pulehu, an Italian Grill for dinner Thursdays through Mondays from 5:30pm to 9:30pm.
