Wondering where to eat in Lahaina?
There’s a new restaurant on Maui that is not to be missed! Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop is located on the Honoapiilani Highway in Olowalu, about 4 miles south of Lahaina at the former location of Chez Paul. This casual, inexpensive restaurant and bakery is owned by the same company that owns Star Noodle and Aloha Mixed Plate, two restaurants in Lahaina, as well as the Old Lahaina Luau – so you know the food is going to be outstanding!
The restaurant has the style of an old Plantation store where you’ll find the menu hung on a chalk board behind the counter. There are candy jars, spice jars, old family photos on the walls and wooden furniture which all add to the warm, homey feeling. The owners also had beach goers in mind when designing the restaurant’s floors and bathrooms so if you are hungry after a morning surf session you are welcome to come in.

The menu at Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop has a variety of offerings from sweet and savory pies, and fresh baked goods, to delicious sandwiches. The menu includes Hoagies, hot dogs and salads (try the fried salad for something really different, tasty and unique). There are hamburgers served on their signature potato bun, seared ahi, pork pork…mmm, pork (yes that’s the name of it!) OR you can “build your own”.
Be sure to leave room for one of the seven house made pies with a flaky crust and yummy sweet filling that come in two sizes. It will be hard to make a decision on which to choose and just might call for another visit!

The restaurant is gathering rave reviews from locals and visitors alike. The casual dining atmosphere lends itself well to families as well as individuals and couples. One recent visitor said she spent 7 days on Maui, during which she ate 3 times at Leoda’s! Another visitor commented on the cool location, nice atmosphere, and a great mix of locals and tourists. One man said he is a banana cream pie connoisseur and went on to say that Leoda’s banana cream pie was the best he ever had!
The restaurant is open Mon-Sun 10am – 8pm. Visitors have already become repeat customers in the short time they have opened. So, the next time you are driving to or from the airport, take a moment to stop and enjoy the sweet and savory offerings of Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop – you’ll be glad you did!
