You can save up to 95% of the developer prices by buying a Wyndham Vacation Club timeshare on the timeshare re sales market. But, you need to understand how to read the estoppels form which should always be a part of every timeshare closing process and the timeshare terminology used on this form can be confusing.
There are five ways Wyndham points can be classified on an estoppel:
Regular Use Points – These are the points given on the anniversary of the “use year” and expire on the next anniversary date. These points can be banked or saved.
Limited Points – These points result from a reservation that is canceled thirty days prior (or less) to the check-in date. Limited points can only be used to book reservations up to 30 days in advance of the requested dates. These points must be used before the end of the current use year and cannot be banked into a future use year.
Canceled Points – These points are the result of a reservation being canceled more than thirty days prior to the check-in date. These points must be used before the end of the current use year and they cannot be banked into a future use year. However, canceled points can be banked into an independent exchange system.
Credit Pool Points – Owners can bank Regular Use Points that they do not plan to use during their usage year. Credit pool points will expire three years after the date of deposit. It is important to note that credit pool points do transfer to a new buyer via a timeshare resale or secondary market transaction.
Personal Interval Choice Points – Personal Interval Choice points or PIC are given for a non-Wyndham week which is deposited into the Wyndham points account. Points begin the day the deposit is acknowledged by Wyndham and expire one year later. Another important note is that PIC privileges do not transfer on the time share resale or secondary market.
We hope you have found this information helpful in explaining the classifications of Wyndham vacation points on an estoppel.
