Sheraton Vistana Villages, a Starwood property, is a great spot to stay when visiting the Orlando area and nearby theme parks. Several of our clients have visited there during the past six months and wanted to share their experiences with us.
One couple stayed in a two bedroom unit in the Bella Florida section, where they shared the first week with the kids and grandkids – 4 adults and two children – and reported it was certainly large enough to accommodate the whole family! The unit was in very good condition, clean and fully equipped with a great view of the main pool area. The grounds and outdoor pools at this Sheraton resort were in perfect condition and easy to access.
They found the staff responsive, friendly and easy to get along with.
There were many resort activities available however they did not take part because the children were visiting all the Disney World attractions while they enjoyed their time around the “quiet pool”.
They added they were not charged any additional fees at check-out.
Another client stayed in the Key West section in a two bedroom unit with their 11 year old child, which they reported was fantastic! The living room/dining area had a television, DVD and stereo system and each bedroom had its own television. The master bedroom had a hot tub, two vanity areas and a separate shower area. The kitchen was great and included a small laundry room with a washer and dryer.
They commented on the fact that each section has its own pool area which was beautiful and well kept and that the resort has easy access to theme parks, grocery stores and restaurants.
Our third client raved about the resort and shared with us the way the property is set up. They were in a two bedroom villa in building 1 of the Bella Florida section. The Bella Florida section is part of the pool/lake area and includes buildings 1 to 11. These buildings are the closest to the activities center and a fitness center. They suggested that this village is a good place to stay if you and your family want to be close to the main pool and activities area.
The best fitness center however, is located in the Key West Village in buildings 12 to 17. There are also a basketball court, shuffleboard court and tennis courts located in this Village.
The newest villages are St. Augustine Village which includes buildings 23 to 26 and Amelia Village which includes buildings 27 to 30. These two areas are best suited for families with small children that would enjoy the playground and pirate ship in shallow water.
This client said she would recommend calling ahead to see where your unit is reserved based on what your family likes to do.
Once again, the staff got outstanding comments from this client. She said the entire staff is absolutely dedicated to making the guests stay as enjoyable as possible. As an example, they arrived before check-in time and asked if they could check in early. The staff took their cell phone number and called them when their unit was ready (just after 1pm). They said they have never experienced a resort so accommodating – usually they are told to check back after 4pm.
