Another owner at Sands of Kahana says they have purchased four weeks of annual use and love the Sands and Maui in general! They go on to say the units are huge and appreciate the fact there is a washer and dryer in the unit so they can leave some of their wardrobe at home. The convenience of the large units allows the entire family to stay with them. The two bedroom units consist of a king size master suite and two double beds in the second bedroom along with two full baths. They appreciate the large, well equipped kitchen and said it saves on the food budget. This owner commented that the entire property is kept very clean, they enjoy the children’s pool and multiple outside bar b que grills for cooking along with a wonderful poolside outdoor lobby area with a koi pond. All four of the buildings at the resort are oceanfront and provide beautiful views of the sunsets and when the whales are in season you can see them from your lanai!

And another owner observed that the Sands is perfect for older couples or families. The tennis courts, fitness center and beach volleyball are perfect for families and there is a nice and reasonably priced restaurant on the property and McDonalds is one block away. They enjoy the large units and being away from all the big crowds at Kaanapali beach. This owner also makes the comment that although this is not a Westin or Marriott it is perfect for real families that want to be close to the ocean and don’t want to walk for 10 minutes to get to the beach or pools. They also enjoyed the fun free activities like lei-making, hula dancing, ice cream social, etc. which they said their kids loved!
