Interval International and RCI are talking about mini vacations. If you don’t have time this summer to take a longer vacation why not take a mini vacation? Syed and I went to Oahu on our own mini vacation. We stayed at The Hilton Hawaiian Village in a one bedroom ocean view in the Lagoon Tower. I love this place. If you want the Hawaii experience you will get it here. You can spend the day at the resort enjoying the water sports, spa, restaurants, and pool to mention a few things to occupy your time. We like to walk to Waikiki and window shop and of course enjoy the many restaurants. We enjoy living in Maui however we really don’t have the choices of dining Oahu offers. Last time we were in Oahu we went to Doris Dukes. That is a very interesting tour. I highly recommend it. We went to The Royal Hawaiian. What a beautiful hotel! It is old Hawaiian meets brand spanking new. My restaurant of choice (We actually went 2 times in the three nights) was Hiroshi. This restaurant offers amazing food and an incredible wine list. The real reason I am writing this article is because the best thing about using your timeshare is when you get your bill. There is a Hawaii State Owners occupancy tax of $4.20 per day. Our total bill was $12.60 for a ocean view 1 bedroom condo. Gotta love those timeshares!
