Chef Morimoto is excited about his new restaurant on Maui and stated “At Morimoto Maui, the lunch and dinner menus focus on Hawaii’s freshest, local ingredients executed with traditional Japanese techniques. I am excited that you will be able to see the beach and ocean from every seat in the house!”
The oceanside restaurant features a 57-seat island inspired interior dining area, a 56-seat outdoor terrace and a 23-seat terrace bar. There is also an 8-seat sushi bar where guests are invited to enjoy hand-rolled sushi and sashimi made from Maui’s freshest local fish.
Chef Morimoto has received many awards including a James Beard Foundation Award for “Outstanding Restaurant Design” and additional accolades of “2006 Hot List” restaurant by Conde Nast Traveler, “New York’s Top 50” restaurants by Travel + Leisure, “Top Newcomer” by Zagat Survey and one of New York Magazines “Best New Restaurants”.
