In a recent article in Maui Now, the fractional Maui timeshare ownership resort at Montage Kapalua Bay announced it will launch its Champagne Hale at Cliff House starting June 29 lasting through Sept. 3.
Champagne Hale is described as featuring a pop-up bar and lounge for guests and locals to experience the finest Maui sunsets throughout the summer while enjoying a variety of Champagnes perfectly paired with an innovative dining menu.
The opening event at this Maui timeshare coincides with the launch of Veuve Clicquot Rich in Hawai‘i, the newest champagne innovation inspired by mixology in the Veuve Clicquot portfolio.
Champagne Hale will be open Thursday through Sunday from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Montage Kapalua Bay says the event was created to encapsulate the natural beauty of the surrounding area and the spirit of Maui. The luxury resort adds, “A historic venue nestled on the cliffs of Namalu Bay, Champagne Hale at Cliff House offers the perfect spot to unwind after a day at the beach, pool or exploring the island; the lounge is filled with lush greenery and celebrates island living with a Veuve Clicquot twist.”
“We are excited to bring this one-of-a-kind experience to Montage guests, residents and Maui locals,” said Richard Holtzman, managing director and vice president, Montage Kapalua Bay. “The historic Cliff House is beloved on the island, and creating the Champagne Hale allows us to offer new programs and amenities, and another location to see the beauty of Maui while enjoying a refreshing cocktail.”
Montage Kapalua Bay created a perfectly paired menu of Champagnes and light bites for the event.
Champagnes featured include Veuve Clicquot Rich, a unique offering from the house available for the first time in the islands, inspired by mixology and best enjoyed over ice with fresh ingredients like pineapple and citrus. Additionally, Veuve Clicquot’s signature Yellow Label, Rosé and La Grande Dame will also be available by the glass and in a special “sunset tasting flight.”
Montage Kapalua Bay’s Executive Chef David Viviano’s innovative food menu for the Champagne Hale consists of Osetra Caviar with Moloka’i sweet and Yukon gold potato, gaufrettes, crème fraiche and chive; classic Tuna Poke with limu, soy, ginger, avocado, ocean salad and taro chips; Surfing Goat Cheese & Kula Strawberries with local honey and grilled baguette; Oysters on the Half Shell with Champagne mignonette and calamansi; and Tropical Fruits including Maui pineapple, Moloka’i papaya, local mango and li hing mui.
