If you are lucky enough to be visiting, vacationing or time sharing on Maui this New Year’s Eve 2011, you’ve got plenty of places to choose from to enjoy dinner, buffets and parties!
The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua has an activity planned for everyone in the family including the kids or grandkids!
For children ages 5 to 8 years old, the Ritz-Carlton has a special New Year’s Eve celebration. The kids are invited to make their own pizza followed by an ice cream scavenger hunt. They will enjoy an early “countdown” to the New Year followed with popcorn and a movie to end the evening.
For kids (or grandkids) ages 9 and older the New Year will start with a special buffet dinner followed by a venture into the forested uplands for a guided night hike, then some painting, snacks and sparkling cider. The cost is $150 per child, inclusive of the dinner.
If fine dining is more to your liking, The Banyan Tree restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton is offering a five course dinner with live entertainment and party favors from 5:30pm – 10pm. The cost is $125 per person and reservations are recommended.
The Terrace Restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton is offering a buffet of “island-inspired” pupu’s served from interactive chef stations. Traditional Hawaiian music and hula vignettes will compliment the dining experience. Gusts will be greeted with a fresh flower lei and festive party favors. The hours for buffet dinner event are 5:30pm to 10pm. The cost is $100 per adult and $50 per teenagers 13 – 17.
A Magical Maui New Year’s Eve Party is planned at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel from 8:30pm to 1am at the Kapanaha Magic Dinner Theater. The magical evening includes a complimentary cocktail, three course dinner, dancing, party favors and a midnight champagne toast. Prices start at $155 per person for general seating and reservations are required.
The Kaanapali Beach Hotel is also serving a special four-course dinner at The Tiki Terrace Restaurant from 6pm to 9pm. Live Hawaiian music will be provided. The pricing is $55 for adults and $35 for children ages 6 to 12
The Tour of the Stars party on the rooftop of the Hyatt Regency Maui promises to be a star filled night with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to ring in the New Year from 11pm to midnight!
In Wailea, the Fairmont Kea Lani is presenting a magical “Under the Sea” themed New Year’s Eve party. The event will begin with a reception featuring a premium open bar and pupus, followed by a gourmet buffet dinner. The celebration will continue with entertainment and dancing leading up to the New Year’s Eve countdown. This festive event runs from 6pm to 12am. Pricing is $250 per person, $150 per teen ages 16 to 20 and $60 per child ages 6 to 15.
The Makena Beach and Golf Resort plans to celebrate the New Year with a buffet dinner. After dinner you can dance the night away to live music and enjoy refreshments with a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. The dinner buffet is from 5:30pm to 10pm. The live music will play until 12:30am. Pricing is $80 per adult, $60 per child ages 9 to 12 and $40 per child ages 5 to 8. Reservations are recommended.
As you can see, there’s no reason to stay home New Year’s Eve on Maui!
