According to Vistanas website many participating properties are currently closed for arrivals. This varies by region and arrival date. If your reservation has been canceled due to a hotel closure or if you are seeking to cancel your reservation, your StarOptions will be reinstated with their original expiration date. If your reservation was made using StarOptions for your 2019 Use Year which expired December 31, 2019, these StarOptions will be reinstated as 2018 Banked StarOptions with an expiration of December 31, 2020, and can be used for a villa reservation or Resort Credit.

Due to extended hold times, if you need to cancel a reservation for an arrival in the next 75 days, we encourage you to complete the transaction online.
Canceling a Reservation Greater than 60 Days from Arrival
If you are seeking to cancel your reservation, you may do so without penalty or fee. Your StarOptions will be returned to your account and will be accessible for use upon completion of cancellation.
Canceling a Reservation 1-60 from Arrival
As of March 12, 2020, due to the unprecedented circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 situation, we are extending the 60-day restriction on StarOptions to 120 days.
Reservations cancelled within 60 days of arrival will be returned as Restricted StarOptions and can be used for a future reservation within 120 days of arrival date. This change will take approximately 14 days to process. The expiration date of those restricted StarOptions has also been extended for use through December 31, 2021. This extension will be visible in your online account within 45 days. Additionally, cancellation fees are waived due to COVID-19.
Canceling a Reservation Made with Non-Vistana Signature Network Ownership Weeks
If you are not a member of the Vistana Signature network, you may cancel your reservation and rebook based on your resort’s use rules and availability or if you have an active membership with Interval International you may assign your week as normal online at Vistana.com. Your deadline to complete an Interval International assignment is 12/31/20 for the 2020 use year.
