Today I’d like to provide you with an update on the refurbishment of the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas and the 2016 annual maintenance fees.
The refurbishment of the south villas of the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas is currently taking place. It has started in Building 2 with each unit getting completely remodeled.
This includes new kitchen appliances, washer/dryers, new furniture in the living room and dining area, new mattresses and headboard in the bedrooms, new sinks in the bathrooms, there’s new lighting fixtures and new carpet in each unit. Building 2 is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The plans are to start the refurbishment in Building 3 in April of 2016 and when that is completed they will move on and start the refurbishment in Building 4. These 3 building comprise the south villas.
As far as the 2016 Annual Fees which includes the annual maintenance fees, taxes and reserve. This figure does not include the Starwood Vacation Network Club fee which is now $145.60.
The annual maintenance fee, taxes and reserves for the two bedroom lockoff deluxe units is $3,121.30.
The annual maintenance fee, taxes and reserves for the two bedroom lockoff premium units is $2,275.20.
The annual maintenance fee, taxes and reserves for the one bedroom premium units, which only come in the oceanview category is $1,911.18.
This represents an approximate 3% increase in the annual fees over the 2015 annual maintenance fees.
