This presentation is about highlighting the main features of each of the Maui timeshare resorts at the three Westin timeshare resorts that are located on North Kaanapali beach – Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resorts Villas, Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resorts Villas North and the newest Westin timeshare, Westin Nanea Ocean Ocean Villas. In addition, you will also get information about what you get when you purchase a Westin timeshare resale at each of these Maui timeshare resorts.

The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas, commonly called the South Villas, has 4 floor plans:

Two bedroom deluxe villas are the corner units that come in oceanfront, ocean view and island view categories and sleep up to 8 people.  They are 1,550 square feet and they have the lock-off feature.

Two bedroom premium oceanfront units are approximately 1,400 square feet and have the lock-off feature.

Two bedroom premium ocean view and island view units are approximately 1,400 square feet.

The main difference between the Westin timeshare resale Oceanfront units, Ocean view units and Island view premium unit categories:

Oceanfront units are all direct oceanfront with all three rooms facing the ocean and have a balcony off each room.

Ocean view and island view units have a balcony off the living room, a balcony off the master bedroom and a standing room balcony off the studio portion of the lock-off.

One bedroom units are approximately 900 square feet and they come in the ocean view category.

The majority of the Island view units in the South Villas face the road and the west Maui Mountains.

Two bedroom lock-off units have:

A full kitchen off the living room that has a 4 burner cook top with oven under the cook top, a dishwasher, refrigerator and washer/dryer.

The master bath has a two bath vanity, whirlpool, walk-in shower and a toilet.

The living room has a pullout sofa that makes into a bed and a king size bed in the master bedroom.

The second bedroom, which is considered a studio, has a king bed and a pullout sofa, a kitchenette with two burner cook top, a convection oven, dishwasher, full size refrigerator and washer/dryer. The bath has a vanity, walk-in shower, whirlpool and a toilet.

NOTE: All two bedroom units at this Westin timeshare resale have the lock-off feature which gives the owner the option to split the unit into a one bedroom and a studio and get up to two weeks of vacation.

Annual maintenance fees:

Two bedroom deluxe units – $3,169

Two bedroom premium units – $2,331

One bedroom premium units – $2,020

Reservations:

When you make reservations at your home resort you can make your reservation 12 – 8 months in advance and based on space availability you will get the type of view unit you own. When you make reservations less that 8 months in advance your view is not guaranteed and that’s when you can stay there for partial weeks.

During the 12 to 8 months timeframe, your check-in is Friday, Saturday or Sunday and you stay for the entire week. Less than 8 months in advance you can stay for partial weeks or since this is a Mandatory resort, StarOption benefits transfer and you have the ability to vacation at other Starwood Vacation villa resorts or bank your unused StarOptions for up to two years.

Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resorts Villa North View

All the two bedroom villas at this Westin timeshare resale are lock-off units and come in Oceanfront, Ocean view and Island view categories. They are 1,230 square feet and sleep up to 8 people.

The living room has a pull out sleeper sofa, the kitchen has a 4 burner cooktop, a convection oven, a refrigerator, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

The master bedroom has a king bed, a two bath vanity, whirlpool tub, walk-in shower and a toilet.

There is a balcony off the living room and the master bedroom.

The studio portion of the lock-off portion of the unit has a king bed and a pullout sleeper sofa. The kitchenette consists of a 2 burner cook top, convection oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The bath has a single vanity, whirlpool tub, walk in shower and a toilet.

The island view units in the North phase of the Maui timeshare resort have two views:

A view of the ocean and a view of the swimming pool and the koi pond. Note: They do not face the road.

Annual maintenance fees:

The annual maintenance fees are $2,616.

This is a Mandatory resort, so StarOption benefits do transfer to a Westin timeshare resale purchaser and you have the ability to book into other Starwood Vacation network resorts also.

Both of these resorts, North and South villas, have the lock-off feature giving the owner the ability to vacation up to two weeks with the two bedroom lock-off units.

NOTE about StarOption Values: One other point is that all the two bedroom units at the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas South and Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas North currently have a StarOption value of 148,100 and the one bedroom has a StarOption value of 81,000. Starting in 2017 all the two bedroom oceanfront units in both the South and North Villas will have an increased valuation of 176,700.

Westin Nanea Ocean Villas

Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is currently under construction and will not be completed until mid-2017. This Maui timeshare resort has two view categories – resort view and oceanfront and they have three floor plans:

One bedroom villas come in resort view and sleep up to 4 people

Two bedrooms villas come in resort view and oceanfront views and sleep up to 6 people

Three bedroom villas come in the oceanfront category and sleep up to 8 people

Westin Nanea Floorplans:

One bedroom units have one bath, a kitchenette, washer/dryer and one balcony.

Two bedroom units have two baths, a kitchenette, washer/dryer and one balcony.

Three bedroom units have two baths, a kitchenette, washer/dryer and one balcony.

Westin Nanea Home Option Values:

The Westin Nanea Ocean Villa timeshare units have a “Home Option” value which gives the owner the ability to book 12 – 8 months at their Home Resort in their type of unit using their Home Options and their check-in/check-out days can be any day of the week.

The one bedroom units have a Home Option value of 81,000

The two bedroom resort views have a Home Option value of 148,100

The two bedroom oceanfront has a Home Option value of 176,700

The three bedroom oceanfront has a Home Option value of 257,700

Westin Nanea Annual Maintenance Fees:

One bedroom – $1,441

Two bedroom resort view – $2,663

Two bedroom oceanfront – $3,142

Three bedroom oceanfront – $4,582

Westin Nanea Ocean Villas is classified as a Voluntary Resort so StarOption and Starpoint benefits will not transfer to a Westin timeshare resale purchaser. At this point there are not any timeshare resales at this Maui timeshare resort because construction has not been completed on the property.

However, when that does take place, since it is a Voluntary resort, the Westin timeshare resale purchaser will only get Home Option benefits and if they want to make an external exchange they will have to join Interval International to make their exchanges.

In summary, following are the main differences of the three Maui timeshare resorts at Westin Kaanapali:

Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas South and North are Mandatory Resorts so StarOption benefits do transfer and Starpoint benefits do not transfer to a resale purchaser.  All two bedroom units at these Maui timeshare resorts have a lock-off feature which gives the owner the ability to book up to two weeks of vacation by splitting their unit up into a one bedroom and a studio.

The Westin Nanea does not have lock-off features, they come with a kitchenette and it is a Voluntary Resort so StarOption and Starpoint benefits will not transfer to a Westin timeshare resale purchaser.
