Possibly the most unique shopping event (especially if you are enjoying your California timeshare in the next couple weeks) is Halloween Gear where you’ll find 10,000 square feet of Halloween costumes and accessories for children, adults and even pets!
California timeshare owners will also find trendy boutiques, spas, a winery and an outdoor amphitheater with seasonal entertainment on the river walk. It’s a place to spend an entire day or an evening under the beautiful desert sky.
Rancho Las Palmas Shopping Center is one of the City’s more established shopping centers and a favorite with California timeshare owners for all the necessities they need when vacationing in the area. This popular 20-acre neighborhood shopping center is located just east of The River and hosts CVS, Wells Fargo and Ritz Camera.
Pavilions Shopping Center, located at the corner of Bob Hope Drive and Gerald Ford Drive, is a 100,000 square foot modern neighborhood shopping center anchored by a recently renovated Pavilions grocery store where California timeshare guests staying at Westin Mission Hills go for groceries while enjoying their vacation.
Monterey Marketplace 50-acre shopping center continues to evolve. With an excellent location this center attracts California timeshare owners and shoppers from every corner of the Coachella Valley. Monterey Marketplace is home to Regal Cinema 16, a state-of-the-art theater that offers stadium-style seating and the latest in sound technology in all 16 auditoriums. This is where you’ll find McDonald’s, Wendy’s, IHOP, Subway, Panda Express, Monterey Palms Market and Clark’s Nutrition & Natural Foods Market. It’s also home to an immensely popular Red Robin Restaurant and the new Sushi Manbo.
Parks:
Following are the parks located within Rancho Mirage where California timeshare owners enjoy spending time with family and friends.
Whitewater Park features four lighted tennis courts, two basketball courts, two racquetball / handball courts, an informal play field, picnic facilities, children’s playground, life-sized fire engine, water feature, recycling drop-off location, and walking paths with a fitness circuit. Various community groups host events in the park, which is also the site of concerts and the annual Rancho Mirage Art Affaire. (Restrooms available.)
Michael S. Wolfson Park is located at DaVall and Frank Sinatra Drives on a one-acre, triangular-shaped parcel adjacent to the trails system and the Whitewater Wash. This park has a Victorian theme that features a fountain, decorative lighting fixtures, benches, a Braille-marked trail and a fragrance garden. A recorded “welcome” from Dinah Shore and Frank Sinatra, who lived nearby, may be heard at the entrance to the park. (No restrooms.)
Cancer Survivors Park
Cancer Survivors Park is located on the southeast side of City Hall at Frank Sinatra Drive and Highway 111. This beautiful one-acre park features a pyramid kiosk, tiled benches, ponds, a hillside waterfall, and sculptures. The sculpture garden was designed as a celebration of life and to encourage current cancer patients to have the will to fight. One of 22 such parks in the nation, this park was constructed by the Bloch Foundation as a gift to the community. (Restrooms available on weekdays in City Hall which is adjacent to the park.)
Blixseth Mountain Park is located east of the Magnesia Storm Channel and the Rancho Mirage Elementary School off Mirage Road. This park features native desert landscaping, walking paths and benches for observing the desert and mountain vistas. Considered a place to experience the natural beauty of the desert, the park offers visitors the opportunity for quiet solitude and closeness to nature not found in the other City parks. The walking trails are easy. (No water or restrooms.)
