Zenshin Daiko’s 14th Annual Taiko Festival concert will open with Taiko Center of the Pacific Youth Group. The word “taiko” means drum. TCP-YG is the children’s group of world-renowned taiko drummer Kenny Endo’s school of taiko on O’ahu. Since it was formed in 1994, the group has developed technique and creativity to become one of the top youth taiko ensembles performing worldwide. The second half of the evening features Maui’s Zenshin Daiko, who will premiere two exciting pieces.

Rockstar and BAMP Project present the Republik Music Festival year 3 Jamrock Edition with Damian Marley, Santigold, Ghetto Youths Crew and The Throwdowns! Damian Marley is a self-proclaimed Spiritual Revolutionary and has strived to carve his own niche in music history and add a new perspective to the Marley legacy for the 21st century. Damian’s hit single “Welcome to Jamrock” was listed as one of the Top 100 Songs of the Decade by Rolling Stone, and at the 2006 Grammy Awards, he won Best Reggae Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance. Santigold is Santi White: an artist whose perseverance relies on invention, a champion who survives off her own skill and faith. Her breakthrough hit record Master of My Make-Believe summons pop culture zombies back to life. Ghetto Youths Crew is a group of gifted young artists from the Marleys’ Ghetto Youths International record label. Maui’s celebrity rock group, The Throwdowns will open.

ArT=Mixx® is an interactive, 21 and over social event that connects artist and audience in a fusion of performing and visual arts. The Pop Fashion edition will feature a wearable art fashion show, interactive photography, celebrity costumes, art making, video displays, music and more. Adults 21+ years only, please. Admission is free. Sponsored by the County of Maui
June 23 – Sunday from 2pm to 7pm at the Pavilion/Amphitheater
Kī Hō‘alu Guitar Festival 2013 – Make plans to come and enjoy an all-star lineup of Hawai‘i’s best slack key guitar musicians in a laid-back, local-style ambiance that lingers until dusk. Popular musicians and recording artists who are scheduled to perform include: John Cruz, Stephen Inglis, George Kahumoku, Dennis Kamakahi, Makana, Bobby Moderow and Alani Yamauchi. Arts & crafts made in Hawai’i and island foods will be available for purchase and admission is free!

Brian Regan in Concert – Brian has distinguished himself as one of the premier comedians in the country. Brian’s non-stop theater tour has visited more than 80 cities each year since 2005 and continues through 2013. It is the quality of his material, which relates to a wide audience and is revered by his peers, that continues to grow Brian’s fan base. Using the perfect balance of sophisticated writing and physicality, Regan consistently fills theaters nationwide with fervent fans that span generations. Special guest, Kermet Apio, from O’ahu will open the show.
