Marriott Waiohai Beach Club

There are two options on the South Shore near the Marriott Waiohai and two more luau’s a little further North in Lihue and Kapaa that include more than just a luau!

No visit to Kauai is complete without experiencing a Hawaiian luau and many visitors always include a luau as part of their annual Marriott Waiohai vacation!

Luau’s On the South Shore:

Aulii Luau at the Sheraton Kauai Resort, Poipu

Marriott Waiohai guests enjoy breathtaking views and authentic entertainment as they take a nostalgic journey into ancient times where Native Hawaiian Chiefs ruled this area and hosted exquisite gatherings for their royal guests.

As the sun sets on Poipu Beach, you are invited to treasure the truly mesmerizing setting of this crescent bay with the Pacific Ocean as the backdrop.  ‘Aha’aina (dinner) begins and as you indulge in island cuisine.  You will be entertained with Polynesian demonstrations such as how to husk a coconut, tie a pareo (sarong) and even dance the hula.

The evening continues with drinks, lavish culinary treats and old-fashioned voices singing mostly in Hawaiian.  Please call (808) 634-1499 for additional information and reservations.

Guest comments: “I think the primary reason to go to a lu’au is to see the performers and these dancers were outstanding. I love seeing the different dances from the different regions of the Pacific.”  Another guest of the luau commented, “The luau has ocean front view but the lawn is very small for the show.”

Grand Hyatt Kauai Luau, Poipu

The story is moving, the music and fire play mesmerizing and the dancers absolutely gorgeous!”

Smith Family Garden Luau, Kapaa

Guest comments:  “We can compare to other Luau’s we’ve been to in Oahu and Maui.  I have to say that this is the most impressive one.  Nice TRAM tour, beautiful property.”  And the food?  “I say it is hands down better than most buffets.  Good Mahi, Terriayaki Beef, Kalua pork, Lomi Lomi and chicken adobo.”  Another guest commented about their number of visits: “We’ve been here 5 times (with different family and friends through the years) and about to make it #6 next month. Absolutely come early, if you can, to take pictures, feed the animals, and take the tram. It’s family run and has grown so much through the years! The grounds are gorgeous!!”
