As reported in the Pacific Business News last week, Marriott Vacations Worldwide plans to add 202 additional timeshare units to its Marriott timeshare at Marriott KoOlina Beach Club in West Oahu, according to a public filing by the Orlando timeshare company.
Marriott plans to add these units to its existing 546 Marriott timeshare units that are already built, bringing its total at the West Oahu property to 748 units.
Marriott Vacations said that “additional units planned” represents the total additional units under construction or that it expects to build. No other details were revealed in the filing.
In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Marriott Vacations Club company listed the expansion plan for its Marriott KoOlina property among only a handful of other properties with more units planned.
As of Jan. 1, 2016, Marriott Vacation Club operates 61 properties, including two hotels, with 12,807 vacation ownership units and about 410,000 owners.
