The following article will provide information about the Hilton timeshare properties on the island of Oahu and the difference between a Hilton timeshare resale versus a retail purchase of Hilton Grand Vacation Club timeshares.
Hilton Grand Vacations Club has two locations on the island of Oahu. The first one is the Hilton Hawaiian Village which is a beachfront property located on Waikiki Beach. The Hilton Hawaiian Village has numerous restaurants, shopping, fitness center, spa, swimming pools, etc.
The second Hilton Grand Vacation resort is Hilton Hokulani, an urban timeshare. Hilton Hokulani is located on the Waikiki Beach Walk approximately one block from the beach and is within walking distance to world class shopping and restaurants.
There are currently three Hilton Grand Vacation ownership towers located at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and soon there will be a fourth one making up the first Hilton timeshare resort location:
The first Hilton timeshare is the Lagoon Tower which is the closest to the ocean:
- Studio Garden View
- One bedroom Garden View and Ocean View
- Two bedroom Garden View, Ocean View and Oceanfront
- Three bedroom Penthouse are garden view or ocean view – view not guaranteed.
- All units have full kitchens and a washer/dryer on each floor.

What is the difference between purchasing a Hilton timeshare resale versus purchasing one from the developer?
- There is no difference in purchasing a Hilton timeshare resale versus retail unless you buy 14,000 or more Clubpoints from the Developer – then you get Elite Status.
What does Elite Status give you?
- Early check-in and late check-out in your unit
- Room upgrades if available
- Gold or Diamond Membership for Hilton Honors – depending on Elite Status level
- Access to some other resorts that are not in the HGVC program – depending on Elite Status level
- Discounted reservation fees
- Discounts on Open Season cash rentals
- There is a separate telephone number to call for Elite Status Members
Excluding those items, the benefits are exactly the same as if you bought your Hilton timeshare directly from the Developer.
Following are the points chart for each of the Hilton Oahu timeshare resale resorts, except the Grand Islander which is currently under construction:
