Plans for the first Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare property on the island of Maui was recently announced by the local subsidiary of the Capbridge Group, Capbridge Pacific LLC which has purchased a 28 acre beachfront property in Kihei, Maui, formerly known as the Maui Lu Resort. The new resort will be situated on the eastern edge of Maalaea Bay adjacent to the Humpback Whale Sanctuary Visitor Center and Kalepolepo Beach Park, a State Conservation area.
The Capbridge Group is collaborating with Hilton Grand Vacations to re-develop the property into a timeshare resort that will break ground in late 2015 and open in 2017. The $300 million re-development project will be the Group’s first venture in Hawaii and will be the first Hilton Grand Vacations timeshare property on the island of Maui. Hilton Grand Vacations was chosen to manage the timeshare sales and the hotel operations due to its vast experience in developing, selling and operating successful timeshare resorts throughout the state of Hawaii.
Located on Maui’s longest beach with 740 feet of oceanfront property, the Hilton timeshare resort is located only 15 minutes from the Kahului Airport and is in close proximity to a variety of restaurants, shopping and exciting nightlife destinations in both Kihei and Wailea.
The Hilton timeshare resort will be developed as a villa-style, Hawaiian resort featuring 388 one, two and three bedroom residences and preliminary plans call for a super pool, fitness center and kids and teen centers.
The new Hilton Grand Vacations resort will be the first Hilton-branded timeshare project on the island of Maui. Hilton Grand Vacations will be responsible for sales, marketing and ongoing management of the resort.
