Dear Hyatt Vacation Club at Ka ‘anapali Beach Owner,

As we pass the two-month mark since the tragic wildfires which started on August 8 on Maui, I wanted
to reach back out to provide you with another update. To ensure our owners have an understanding of
what to expect when coming to the resort and the resort offerings, we have continued to reach out to
those with reservations in October and will be doing the same for our upcoming November and
December reservations.

We are pleased to let you know that as of November 1, we will open to new reservations should there
be available inventory. The team continues to strive to restore services to pre-August 8 levels. As we
approach November, we currently anticipate having all pools and amenities available to enjoy. We also
anticipate returning to normal hours of operation for our food and beverage outlets; however, this will
remain dependent on available staffing.

We have had the pleasure to welcome back many of our owners over the past several weeks and the
team was thankful to restart our owners’ socials on Monday evenings and the General Manager Forum
on Tuesday mornings. The General Manager Forum has been a wonderful opportunity for our owners to
meet other owners and associates along with Glenn Casil, General Manager, and to learn about
completed and planned enhancements for the resort.

A very important, yet challenging, enhancement on the horizon is the 2024 pool renovation. As
explained in previous communications to owners, a renovation is scheduled in 2024 for the resort’s
lagoon pools and infinity pool. During the time of the renovation, the pools will be closed; however,
owners and guests will be able to enjoy access to the adjacent Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa’s six
free-form pool areas with waterfalls, including a 150-foot water slide and whirlpool spa. The pool
renovation project was originally scheduled to occur between August 19 and October 21, 2024, but the
dates for renovation have been changed, as the August to October 2024 dates would impact the same
owners who were impacted by the fires this year. The Board of Directors of the Association of Unit
Owners of H.K.B. Condominium, along with the Management Company, have worked to identify another
option for this needed pool renovation so as not to impact the same owners for two consecutive years.
The decision has been made to move the pool renovation project to start on April 29, 2024, with an
estimated completion at the end of June. As with any exterior renovation project, the completion
timeline is dependent on weather and not having significant delays. We have built in some degree of
weather contingency; however, if we do experience any significant weather challenges during this time,
the pool could remain closed for those with the beginning of July reservations.

This was not an easy decision for the Board and Management Company as we know there is no good
time to have pools closed for renovation and we understand this will likely be disappointing for any
owners who may have been looking forward to use of the resort pools. We wanted to provide this
information with enough time for those owners with reservations during the pool renovation period to
look at their options for 2024. Should any owners want to cancel their reservation that have a
reservation starting on April 27, 2024 through July 6, 2024, cancellation fees will be waived. Please
contact owner services to cancel your reservation and they will be able to waive this fee and provide you
with any needed assistance in looking at your travel options for 2024. The waiving of the cancellation fee
for reservations impacted by this renovation will be available through November 30, 2023.

I also would like to provide you an update on the HVC Ka’anapali Beach Associate Recovery Fund, from
the Fund Founders and members of the Allocation Committee:

“As of October 16, 2023, fellow owners and friends of the resort have contributed $597,160 to help our
resort operations associates recover from the terrible fires. This remarkable financial commitment is
dedicated to only our resort with ~ 110 associates.

The allocation committee has received applications and has already paid $4,900 to each of 25 associates
who have lost their homes (on average), and $74,000 to 74 associates who have had other losses. An
additional $15,000 has been awarded to 7 additional associates which should be paid soon. A total of
106 applications have been approved and $196,500 has already been paid.

Our previous efforts in fundraising and donations have significantly aided the victims in securing
temporary shelter, food, and other essential supplies. Coming up, we will be especially focused on making
Thanksgiving and Christmas the best they can be. In the new year, the journey to restoring normalcy
remains an uphill battle. We cannot let the momentum wane now. Your continued contribution can make
a profound difference in helping these families regain a sense of stability and hope for a brighter future.

We thank you for your continued understanding, patience, and support. We encourage you to join
Glenn for the weekly General Manager Forum during your upcoming visit to learn more about the pool
renovation (starting April 29, 2024, with an estimated completion at the end of June) and other projects
planned to continue to enhance the resort and your experience for years to come. We look forward to
welcoming you back to Maui again soon.
