Advantage Vacation is a licensed real estate company specializing in timeshare resales especially name brand timeshare resales such as Westin and other name brand properties. Our offices are located at the Lahaina Cannery Mall in Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii.

Today I would like to talk to you about a recent update we got from Starwood regarding the StarOption values for Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas and Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas North.

As many of you are aware, the StarOption values for all two bedroom units at both of these resorts is 148,100 StarOptions. Starting in 2017 the oceanfront units in both the south and north villas (the two bedroom units) will have an increased valuation in StarOptions. The two bedroom oceanfront valuation will be 176,700 StarOptions which breaks down into the one bedroom StarOption valuation is 95,700 and the studio will increase from 67,100 to 81,000 StarOptions.

The Starpoint valuations will also increase. The two bedroom oceanfront units will increase from 80,000 Starpoints to 95,418 Starpoints.

You may also be aware that the Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas and Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas North are both mandatory resorts and StarOption benefits do transfer to resale owners. Starpoints benefits however, do not transfer on resales.
