St. Patrick’s Day, Tuesday, March 17 will find several fun and entertaining events taking place on Maui. Check out the dining and entertainment options, The Leprechaun Chase and where Marty Dread will be performing!

Mulligans on the Blue

Mulligans, Maui’s only Irish owned and run restaurant and bar, is proud to be celebrating their 10th St. Patrick’s Day on Maui and they have a day of celebration planned from 12pm to 10pm. Advertised as the biggest party in the Pacific with people from all over the world coming to celebrate this great holiday at Mulligans. They will be featuring one of the great bagpipers, Jack Lee. Doors open at 11am with no cover before 6pm. You’re invited to come enjoy an Irish Aloha with the following performers:

12noon to 3pm – Rambling Rovers

3 – 4pm – Irish Bag Pipes

4 – 7pm – Celtic Tigers

7 – 8 pm – Fish Tank

8 – 10pm – The famous Willie K Band

Mulligan’s on the Blue is located at Kaukahi Street in Kihei.

Marty Dread, Hawaii’s Reggae Ambassador will be performing at the Hard Rock Café in Lahaina from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

Looking for something different and fun for the whole family to enjoy on St. Patrick’s Day? Check out “The Leprechaun Chase”. It’s a three mile run/walk that is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 at 5:30pm at the Kahului Ale House. You’re invited to “run with 300 of your closest friends” and celebrate St. Paddy’s Day with drinks, music and great food at the Kahului Ale House.

The course is a flat, wheel-measured 3 miles out and back on Hobron Avenue and Amala Place. A water station will be setup at the 1 and 2 mile markers. Can YOU catch the Leprechaun that will be leading the way? If you catch him, there will be a prize waiting for you at the finish!

Events include:

The Keiki Dash for kids ages 2-12 is a 100 meter dash held right before the 3 mile run/walk and they will have a chance to chase the leprechaun too! Medals for all kids will be awarded at the finish.

Costume Contest – Wear as much green as you can! Awards will be given to the Best Male Costume, Best Female Costume and Best Group Costume.

There will be live music after the race at the Ale House.

You’ll have a chance to win a “catch the leprechaun” prize, age group awards, costume awards and a $100 Pot of Gold.

Fleetwood’s On Front Street

Come join in the fun at the Rooftop Party from 7-10pm with no cover, live music, a dance floor, Jameson shots, green beer, and of course, corned beef, braised cabbage and boiled red potatoes. Kona Storm and the Maui Celtic Band will be performing.
