Today I’d like to talk about the Marriott timeshare at Marriott Waiohai Beach Club which is located on the island of Kauai. The Marriott Waiohai Beach Club is an oceanfront property located in Poipu – actually next to the Poipu Beach Park. Poipu is the sunny side of Kauai on the south side of the island.

This Marriott timeshare resale resort has 8 buildings and there are swimming pools, fitness center, a convenience market and the Honu Bar for dining.  The units are all two bedroom units (they are not lockoff units) and there are two categories of view – island view and ocean view.  The units sleep 8 people, there is a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen sofa pullout and the second bedroom has a queen bed and sofa pull out. There are a washer and dryer in all the units.

If you have purchased a unit in buildings that begin with the number 1, 2 or 3 you will have floating use rights in the Platinum Season for weeks 1 – 51 and Platinum Plus week 52 which is a fixed week. However, if your deed shows deeded units in buildings 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 then Platinum Season weeks are 1 – 50 and Platinum Plus weeks are 51 and 52 and are fixed weeks at this resort.

Exchanges are, of course, made through Interval International or if you are part of the Marriott Destination Points Program you can trade internally into other villas without going through Interval International.

The annual maintenance fees for the deeded, two bedroom units at the Marriott Waiohai Beach Club for 2014 are $1,781 and this includes property taxes.
